Keeper's Log 003: Friday Brains & The Veil

Okay... finally.
I honestly didn't think Friday afternoon would ever arrive.
By the end of the week my brain is completely fried. I've spent five days masking—trying to act like a responsible member of society, earn a living, answer emails, attend meetings and pretend my mind isn't constantly wandering somewhere else.
Back to the studio.
Back to The Veil.
Back to the Mini Monsters.
"What now?" I hear you ask.
Well... I'm done masking.
Especially when I'm in the studio.
That's the one place I get to be unapologetically me. No need to hide my quirks, quiet my excitement, or explain why I'm talking to creatures that technically shouldn't exist.
Out there, I have to fit in.
In here, I get to explore unseen wonders from across The Veil.
So why me?
Why did they choose my little studio?
Let's be honest—it probably wasn't because of my flawless social skills. I'm the person who overcommits, gets anxious, reads your message, replies in my head, and then three days later realises I never actually sent the reply.
Apparently that's an ADHD thing.
Who knew?
I lose track of time. I forget to eat. I survive on too little sleep, too much coffee and an unreasonable amount of kindness.
And somehow...
Mini Monsters.
Am I discovering them?
Are they finding me?
Or—if I'm being completely honest—am I accidentally encouraging them to keep breaching The Veil?
Maybe they're drawn to creative chaos.
Maybe they know this studio is a safe place.
Or maybe...
I should just open a window.
There's every chance I've inhaled a little too much glue over the years.
Either way, they're here now.
And I have a feeling they're only just getting started.
